If you’re planning for an upcoming Italy vacation, there are definitely some things you’re going to want to prepare for. One of the biggest issues is, quite frankly, the cardio involved. Rome is a beautiful city and you’re going to want to see a lot of it. The only way to do this, though, is on foot much of the time (otherwise you’ll be doing a lot of waiting). But also give some thought to keeping in shape via eating healthy foods too. Wine actually isn’t that bad for you. Neither are other Roman foods like olives, dates, nuts and lean meats. Drink plenty of water while you’re there too (especially if you’re having a lot of wine). This strategy will ensure you don’t put on too much weight while enjoying Rome.
There may be too much to do in Italy to ever fully experience, but that’s no excuse not to try.
