Having driven Cerebral and Zealthy to national success in digital health, Kyle Robertson is shifting his focus to a no-less-formidable mission: empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs to foster game-changing healthcare and wellness businesses. Through his new investment firm, Revolution Venture Studios (RVS), Robertson is drawing on deep startup experience to coach startup leaders, provide operating insight, and co-create companies structured to scale rapidly and resiliently. RVS is being touted as a “venture machine,” and it is more than a typical venture capital firm—it is a launching pad for game-changing ventures from the hands-on experience and perspective of someone who has done this before.
Kyle Robertson‘s entrepreneurial journey took off when he launched Cerebral in early 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic began upending healthcare systems across the country. By the time in-person mental health and therapy services stopped being easily accessible, Cerebral provided a well-timed digital alternative—offering up therapy, medication management, and ongoing virtual care. Cerebral became a lifeline to millions in need when the world needed it the most and went on to reach a 2022 valuation of $4.8 billion in Robertson’s hands. Cerebral not only addressed an immediate market need but also proved the potential of scalable, tech-powered healthcare solutions.
Not content with slowing down, Kyle Robertson went further and launched Zealthy, a direct-to-consumer telehealth business geared towards providing routine ailment treatment including weight loss, skin health, hair loss, and sexual health. Zealthy aimed at simplifying the patient experience through the removal of lengthy waiting times and high prices and providing fast, discreet and easy access to healthcare. The company went on to treat hundreds of thousands of patients across the country and further cemented the position of a digital health pioneer for Kyle Robertson.
With the founding of Revolution Venture Studios, Robertson also acquired a new role: founder, mentor and venture builder. RVS engages with would-be entrepreneurs early on, sometimes before they have a company to call their own. The process is hands-on and comprehensive—Robertson and his team co-found the companies with the entrepreneurs, assist in recruiting the leadership team, and guide them through development from the ideation stage through to product release. Among the early winners hatched at RVS are Amara, a medspa platform business created by Lisa Amara, Bioverse, a longevity science business created by Daniel Fortunato, and ScribeAI, a medical documentation software powered by artificial intelligence founded by Matt Holmes.
Looking towards the future, RVS is envisioned by Robertson as a force behind the emergence of a number of high-impact startups. His hope is to construct a sustainable innovation ecosystem for health and well-being—one fueled by velocity, vision convergence, and value over many years. In addition to investment dollars, Roberton is interested in creating entrepreneurs who will lead with purpose and scale with integrity. With Revolution Venture Studios, Kyle Robertson is also redefining the script when it comes to investment in early-stage healthcare companies. Combining his own background as a serial business founder with a fervent passion for mentoring, he is bringing the next generation of game-changing companies to the market—and bringing healthcare to more people, more tailored to their needs and more impactful.
